Jeff's journey as Last Chance vocalist and front man began at the tender age of 5 - regaling his mother to Andy Williams tunes with a drumstick substituting as a microphone.
His
first gig outside his home was at the
Copeland Middle School in Rockaway at age
13. By 1981 Jeff and his band Fairwarning were performing for crowds of up to
2000 people before wrapping it up at their farewell gig at the old
Main Street
Exchange in Rockaway.
Cursed by nature and unable to
grow his hair to the desired
front man length,
Jeff laid down his microphone and focused on a career in construction. He now
owns and operates a construction company though he still longed
to hear the roar of the crowd and show them a good time.
As fate would have it, one day the wife of Last Chance soundman Danny De Filippo
overheard Jeff's mellifluous bellowing and suggested an audition. He didn't make
it through the first song before guitarist Joe Formato stopped the song and
asked "Well, are you in?" Jeff has been "in" and rocking ever since.
Jeff loves to play
golf when he's not pulling down a house or putting up a new
one, but his real love is spending time with his family.
